Painting Workshops Near Christchurch: Art Lessons in Rangiora
are the natural progression of a gallery. Art is about interaction and participation and therefore we are excited to be running regular art classes and events. From drawing lessons to portraits– we have a range of options.
Our art lessons are held at the gallery unless they are large-group workshops, and we offer art classes for everyone, ranging from beginners to intermediate artists. We also do children’s art lessons.
If you join a pastel workshop you won’t even have to buy anything. Since The Artist’s Eye Gallery is Canterbury’s only stockist of hand-made Unison soft pastels you can hire pastels from us. We are in touch with some of NZ’s top creatives and tutors who will come to Rangiora to run workshops and share their tips.

What are the differences between art commissioned from the Imperial workshops and art produced for the working class? What evidences are there to support these differences?
The former was obviously of far greater quality, displaying much better skill or workmanship and naturally far costlier. This is obvious based on what has come down to us from archeological sites.
