Kidz Art Kamp 2014 Registration is full

Our Kidz Art Kamp is fully booked this summer, however we still have lots of options for art classes this summer, and during the school year. Check out Betty Pimm, Janet Green, Silvia Pidgirsky, Neil Sen, and Kathy Love over on our "Teachers & Classes" tab to see who best fits your schedule.

We have been hard at work to make our 8th annual Kidz Art Kamp the best one yet! This year we will offer morning camps (9am-noon) and afternoon camps (1pm-4pm). Camps run Monday thru Thursday. Teachers will have drawing lessons, painting projects, sculpture, and other creatively prepared projects for each theme. A 16x20 canvas masterpiece, as well as a 3D sculptural project, will go home with each child on Thursday! All our teachers have a degree in the arts along with their certification.
We are also offering Kidz Art Kamp T-shirts for the first time this year. They will make great paint shirts to help keep clothing clean during camp, plus they're the perfect keepsake to remember all the fun your child had at art camp. The order form is available below.
Referral Discounts, multiple session discounts as well as sibling discounts are offered this year!

We are so excited to offer Kidz Art Kamp T-shirts this year! They are available for $10 each. Simply fill out the form on the right, mail in or drop off your $10 payment, and your camper's shirt will be available the first day of their camp!
These can be used as paint-shirts during camp to help keep clothing clean, and will be a great reminder of all the fun they had in camp this summer!
All shirts are 4.5 oz 100% cotton, and are pre-shrunk.

Kidz Art Kamp 2014 Schedule:

Morning Camps (9am-Noon)

Afternoon Camps (1pm-4pm)

Let’s Set Sail! – If you love the ocean, and everything in it, look no further. We will draw inspiration from adventures on the high seas to the many creatures that call the oceans their home.

Furry Friends– Lions, Tigers, and Bears, oh my! Whether you want to draw animals, or the landscapes they call their home, this is the week for you. From the jungles, tree tops, and wind-swept prairies, there’s no limit to the inspiration nature can provide.

Eric Carle– These favorite children’s’ books have beautiful and colorful illustrations. We will use that as inspiration as we create our own animals and environments in this creative world.

Animal Planet – If you love to draw and paint animals, this week is for you! We will focus on drawing and painting techniques that will make our animals come to life.

Nature Comes to Life- The sky is the limit this week! There are so many beautiful things to draw and paint in nature, so we want to keep our options open. We will study color theory and different techniques as we discover what is under the sun!

It’s Fantasy Week! – Whether your child loves dragons, wizards, fairies, or superheroes, this is the week for them! If they can dream it up, they can create it in paintings, drawings and sculptures this week.

Are so surprisingly expensive.
Evil expensive. Spend $100 and get a VCR ( used if need be ) and really cheap running shoes. Tape the cooking shows on KQED and KRON, run around your neighborhood until dizzy. Actually go to all the advertised farmers markets. Walk everything and examine everything. Go to Cala, Rainbow, compare produce...
And keep a little note book! Make notes. galore. from the tv at the markets, numbers, addresses, suppliers. Buy used restaurant sauce pans and copper clad, steel etc stuff! It's cheap used and you can always give/ throw it away.
Find a gas stove and occasionally cook on an electric range! Live life!

What are the nearest summer art classes for teens?

im looking for art classes for 13 years olds. anyone know where i can find some in the southern california region in van nuys or somewhere near it.

Since you're only 13, community colleges are out of the question so.........check out a list of classes offered by your city's recreation department. Usually every a couple of months, every household gets a newsletter from their city and they list classes that they offer for kids, young adults and senior citizens.....classes such as art, dance, yoga, etc are offered for a small fee and you meet a couple times a week or so at your city's recreation center...... You can visit your city hall, their website or just give them a quick call...they will provide you information that way too. Goodlu…
