Houston Arboretum & Nature Center, in partnership with City ArtWorks, is offering Summer Art Camp classes for ages 5 to 12. City ArtWorks provides fun, creative art classes inspired by nature. Summer Art Camp classes encourage creative problem solving, help develop critical thinking skills, and expose children to visual arts concepts and history.
Summer Art Camp is offered from June 9 through August 15. (There will be no Art Camp the week of July 4th.) Children will explore the world of nature while making two-dimensional and three-dimensional works of art from a variety of art materials. Cost is $110 for members; $135 for non-members. Pre-registration required.
Courses can be used to extend your child’s day at Summer Camp OR can be a stand-alone summer art experience!
