Discover the joy of oil painting, a skill that is much easier to learn than one might think.
With over fifty years in the art field, and having my paintings included in many private collections throughout the United States, I am sure my experience will be of help to you, on your journey through this wonderful thing called ART.
In my art class, you will learn techniques and step-by-step lessons that will jump start your life as an artist. All you need is a strong desire to learn how to paint.
Power Painting - Each student will be able to take home their completed painting at the end of the class
My art classes are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday evening in Vancouver, Washington (Hazel Dell), from 6:00PM to 8:30PM.
These two days are what I call Power Painting days. By power painting, I mean fast. In these classes, we concentrate on speed painting, the same type of painting one would do when painting outdoors.
Speed painting techniques are also known as "Plein Aire."
I want every student to have a finished painting at the end of the Power Painting class, worthy of wall space in their home.
During our first year of classes, the students have produced over 500 wonderful oil paintings, the smallest being 12 x 16" in size. I am very proud of this accomplishment.
I encourage you to stop by the studio on Tuesday or Thursday evenings, between 6:00 and 9:00 pm, to watch our classes produce beautiful art.so fast! It is free to just watch and enjoy the creativity. Of course, we would hope you want to be a part of this experience. Classes are just $25 each.
Each student will be able to take home their completed painting at the end of one or two classes, depending on the complexity of the project.
call me, or stop by the gallery to view my art work of over 200 oil paintings. gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday from Noon to 5:00PM.
Please call the studio to be sure I am available.
Private classes are available on Mon, Tues or Fri or by appointment. Cost is $25 per hour. In private classes, we will paint any subject matter or size you want, together, one on one.
Thank You for your interest in my art classes!
