Is your course Nationally Recognised?

Yes. We work in partnership with Training Innovation Management & Enterprise to deliverthe Nationally recognised Barista Basics Accreditation SITHFAB012A - Prepare and serve espresso coffee. Your accreditation is registered with the Department of Further Education, Employement, Science and Technology.

Is The Advanced Barista course nationally recognised?
No. There is currently no nationally recognised progamme for Advanced Barista Courses. We offer the advanced barista course for those who want to fine tune their skills and gain further confidence behind the coffee machine. Our focus in the advanced barista course is to teach you to work under pressure, and have you become confident with latte art. Certificates of attainment are given to all completing students.

Will I learn to make all varieties of coffee?
Absolutely. It is important that all baristas have a firm knowledge in the creation of all variety of coffees, and the known variation amongst each variety.

I've been making for years now and just need a refresh. What do you suggest?
There have been so many recent changes and innovation in coffee making and its presentation; that many people find they've been left behind. We suggest starting with barista basics, where we can explain the reason we do what we do behind the machine, and the new styles and presentation of coffee. For those with recent training, who are wanting to learn how to handle pressure, multitask and present customers with beautiful latte art we suggest the advanced course.

What should I wear to the course?
We recommend comfortable clothing and footware. You will be given a full length apron to wear during your course to protect your clothing.

How long does it take to receive my certificate?
The Barista Basics certification takes between 7 - 10 working days and is issued directly by the Department of Further Education, Employement, Science and Technology. Your Advanced Barista certificate is issued at the completion of your course.

How long do your classes go for?
Our classes run from 11am through to 5pm, which makes for a very intensive day, with plenty of time to master the coffee machine.

I don't think there are any. I think it's just the A-level in Fine arts that you can do, or you might be able to do a HND from college.
