Do you ever get the urge to create something beautiful and amazing but just don’t know where to begin? I know I do. And usually when I attempt this monumental task on my own it usually looks more like an art project I brought home in elementary school than the great work of art I was hoping for.
Here is your guide to Huntsville art classes by age and skill level.
These classes are designed for children ages 3-5 years old.
Artsy Animals
Dates: July 29, 31, August 2
Back by popular demand! Create fun paintings, sculptures and collages of your favorite animals and critters. Media include air-dry clay, pastel, and watercolor. [spacer size="0"]
The ABC’s of Art: Young-at-art
Dates: August 5, 7, 9
Learn about basic elements of art such as color, line, shape, and texture in this drawing and painting class. Media include crayon, watercolor and oil pastel.
These classes are for childern in elementary and middle school. Each class will indicate if designed with a more specific age group in mind.
Create with Color
Dates: July 23, 25, 30, August 1
Age: For ages 5-8 years old.
Learn about color mixing and brushwork as you discover the fantastic world of painting. Media include watercolor, tempera paint, and watercolor pencil.
Spectacular Sketches
Age: For grades K-5
Back by popular demand! Spend the morning drawing at the Museum. Explore how artists use the basic elements of art – color, line, shape, and texture to create their own artwork. Media include colored pencil and pastel. All New Projects!

Age: For 5 years old & up
